In 2009, my daughter Laura wrote and illustrated a book called "Gustavo and Julia." I helped her paint the illustrations. Since then, I have always wanted to create my own version of this story in my own style, as a gift to her. So, last year, I started studying different styles, painting techniques, and character design.

Below is the first illustration, followed by the original made by Laura, and then the work starting with pencil and progressing to color tones.
